We strive to create a positive, safe, Internet-wide community--no easy task. Meeting other developers on localhost or talking to football fans on nfl.com on opening day can be magical experiences unobtainable on any other platform. To protect our community, we’ve developed the following guidelines. Our policies are inspired by our sensible friends at Discord.
NB: We aren’t responsible for any activity or content that is posted; however, we collect user-generated reports of abuse directly from each chat and may delete messages or ban users if community guidelines are not upheld.
We encourage meeting new communities on the Internet and having fun. That said, the following behaviors aren’t tolerated. On first offenses, we will delete messages and issue warnings but reserve the right to ban in extreme cases:
Organizing and participating in raids or other forms of harassment. Do not engage in or post content encouraging the harassment of individuals or communities.
Spamming or repeatedly sending a user unwanted messages.
Distributing content that violates another anyone’s contractual, personal, intellectual property or other rights, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Sharing content encouraging self-harm or suicide.
Spamming of our community reporting tools.
Not labeling links NSFW.
These will result in immediate message deletions and account bans:
Threatening someone’s physical or financial state, including doxing.
Sharing violent or sexually suggestive content related to minors.
Sharing sexual explicit content of someone without their consent.
Distributing viruses or attempting to hack or phish someone.
To report any of the above activity, please send an email to email@example.com.
